About me

I am a multi-operator in the field of culture and a visual artist who graduated from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2017. I have also studied photography and visual arts in Berlin (Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule).

Alongside producing my own art exhibitions, I have worked as a freelancer in the private and third sector as well as for municipalities and individuals: community art projects, photographic documentation, customer service and production of public events.

ART
I am particularly fascinated by combining experimental photographic art with staged and documentary photography. I have held solo exhibitions at, among others, Kunst40 gallery in Berlin and Galleria Rajatila in Tampere. I have been part of the Tehonrakentajat artist group exhibited in Kiasma, Helsinki’s contemporary art museum, and in Kuopio, Jyväskylä and Kajaani art museums. As an art experiencer, I am attracted by surprise, storytelling, experimentality that serves its purpose, and a balance between ease and difficulty.

DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY
I have photo-documented numerous performing artists in intimate gig environments, local residents in the streets and villages, special features of the city for marketing purposes, and art events such as the Guerrilla lighting light show. I document events and objects with the senses of a visual artist.

ADMINISTRATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have worked as a lesson teacher in the Valkeakoski folk high school in Valkeakoski and Akaaa, as an exhibition assistant at the Photographic Centre Nykyaika in Tampere, and held art workshops at Tesoma comprehensive school in Tampere and for the elderly in Tesoma’s Olkkari.

PUBLIC EVENTS AND OTHER SERVICES
I have handled artworks at, among others, the Sara Hildén Art Museum, the Purnu Art Center, the Photographic Centre Nykyaika and the Voipaala Art Center. I have experience in transporting works of art, supervising exhibitions and hanging various exhibitions. I have been producing Utopia / Dystopia performance festivals in Tampere and assisted in the production of the Backlight2020 photography festival.
